At Community Connections, we recognize that each individual has a unique story, and his or her own distinctive strengths and challenges. With input from the individual, his or her loved ones, and our experts, we develop an Arizona Eating Disorder Treatment plan for each individual. We help each individual develop the skills he or she will need to experience recovery.
Residential treatment and the outpatient programs provide individuals with a supportive peer group that understands the challenges that arise from an eating disorder. By living together or by participating in the Intensive Outpatient Clinic with continuous therapeutic support, individuals learn to practice making healthy decisions when they experience feelings that accompany their eating disorder.
Individuals will learn to be mindful of feelings like anxiety, fear or shame, and to experience those feelings in ways that won’t compromise their lives.
Seeking support for an eating disorder takes a tremendous amount of courage. Our goal at Community Connections is to assist men, women and transgender with finding the path to recovery and assisting them in successful recovery in the days, weeks and months to come after they leave our care.
That’s why each individual starts creating a unique discharge plan as soon as he/she begins taking part in our IOP or residential program. By beginning this valuable resource right away, we can assist members with the support each person needs to continue their progress. They will update their plan to reflect the progress made during their time in treatment to ensure they have a solid discharge from treatment.
Each individual service plan will include the recommendations from the member’s clinical team for follow-up care, access to community resource/natural supports, outpatient recommendations and appointments, options for applicable support groups, and a relapse prevention plan.
Community Connections is here to support you along your journey!
